Haiiileen
Nov 6, 2018 - April 28, 2019 | Young At Art Museum
"LightScapes," solo exhibition of Cuban-American interdisciplinary artist Haiiileen, featuring three large-scale acrylic light sculptures and a fabrication lab. In the Knight Gallery at Young At Art Museum. The exhibition explores synesthetic thinking and the use of light as a medium to create a “neo-abstract alternate reality.” Key sculptures include "Amaziiing," a marbleized acrylic maze with mirrored elements and LED lighting; "Aqua," an interactive arrangement of 30 custom acrylic sculptures with LED lighting; and "HaiiiMobile," a kinetic sculpture with over 200 floating acrylic elements. The exhibit also hosted an educational fabrication lab on light theory, designed for an immersive multi-sensory experience aimed at the community's youth.
